Finding Calm in the Chaos
We find ourselves in a constant state of fight or flight and our sympathetic nervous systems are longing for a break whether we realize it or not. This state of being becomes so “normal” in today’s world that we don’t even realize that we are in need of peace and calm.
What would it look like for you to have a day, an hour, a moment of peace and calm. Being able to step away from all that is bombarding us on a moment by moment basis is essential to allowing our mind, body and spirit to thrive but we simply don’t see the way.
We are surrounded by needs whether they be in our own families, in our communities, in our churches, in our workplace, among our circle, in our nation or in the world at large. All of the needs are brought to us via social media, news outlets, and the internet. While it is in our nature to help, there are so many needs, we feel helpless which translates into our experiencing fight or flight. If we can’t help to make things better we feel defeated and our bodies are in survivial mode.
There are ways, my friend, to help quiet the noise to help our mind, body and spirit begin to heal and be nourished.
Over the next 10 weeks, I will be releasing resources to help each of us to begin to develop a healthier relationship with our minds, bodies and spirits. If you would like to receive a free copy of these resources, please go to www.neighborhoodwellness.ga and leave your contact information. These will be released beginning December 15 to your inbox.
